Though it’s Tuesday, this will be my first attempt at a Tiny Nephesh 5 Minute Friday. How it works is that a group of writers team up weekly to write about a topic – in 5 minutes with minimal editing. I usually participate over on my other blog Agapetos, but the prompt this week seemed fitting for this environment.
So, here we go:
That is about the time that I have been dreaming of a tiny house.
It has been about that long that there has been a desire on my heart to travel the country, seeing how teens all over connect to God, how they learn and engage His word, and leading services/events…
I love seeing the progress on the trailer, but, it has all been a slow process.
From the planting of the dream, to the picking of the trailer, to this renovation process, to now trying to find a place to live (I have to be out in exactly 2 months! That’s scary!).
Honestly, though, I think slow is best.
Slow is how God makes us into who we are for His Kingdom.
Slow is how we make a difference in the hearts around us.
Slow is how we make a mark in our environment.
Slow is how we become.
So, though I see the dream being realized, I know there is still a long road with a lot of unanswered questions. But, I have an appreciation for the entire slow process, knowing God is using it to challenge, inspire, and move others. And, He is using it to shape me.
What more could I ask for?
After all, isn’t it said that slow and steady wins the race?
“…But one thing I do: forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 3:13-14
“His master replied, “well done, good & faithful servant!” – Matthew 25:21,25:23
